Sleep, physically heavy

a picture of the poem, written on a typewriter.

Sleep, physically heavy
Where the body will not move
Let alone eyelids lift to open.
Light burns
and paralyzes
while the day’s tasks
impatiently await.
Weighed, slowed,
My feet touch the ground.
